About the Project

Our client is a forward-thinking product company working on advanced autonomous driving technology. They have created a unique system that doesn’t rely on maps, allowing vehicles to drive on roads they haven’t seen before.

Their technology works with different types of hardware and uses high-quality cameras to gather visual information. This makes it suitable for many uses, from personal cars to autonomous buses. The system processes data from cameras in real time, acting like a human driver to help the vehicle make safe and accurate decisions on the road.

Required skills:

Practical engineering experience in any technical domain
Active driving license
Strong level of communication skills in Japanese & English (verbal & written), ability to write clear reports
Willing to perform software testing and drive in the car at least 6 hours a day, this is a field position, and most of the testing is done in the car/bus

Advantages:

Hands-on experience with C++ or similar (code investigation)
Experience with git/docker
Familiarity with the Autonomous Vehicle field

Scope of work:

Managing Software test cycle which includes; running test scenarios, configuration management & code debugging.
Reporting the main Software / Hardware car / bus issues to the appropriate engineer, this needs an understanding of the technology and capability of pinpointing where a problem is located and who is responsible for fixing it.
In charge of making sure cameras in the car / bus are clean and the car / bus physical maintenance.
In charge of all computers and hardware within the car / bus.
Participating in demos for visitors and describing the product to the visitors.

Important points: The position requires spending long hours in the car / bus for testing and doing some physical work. This is not an office position.
