ALLSTARSIT named finalist in Ragan’s employee communications awards for employee well-being program

The evolution of our well-being incentive

In 2021, we introduced the Global Workation Program, allowing our team members worldwide—from Latin America to Asia—to work from our corporate villa in Sri Lanka between December and February. This initiative was designed to strengthen team unity, provide a change of scenery, and ease post-COVID burnout by offering a rejuvenating work environment.

By 2024, the realities of the war in Ukraine had placed immense psychological and emotional strain on our Ukrainian team members. Nearly 80% of Ukrainians are experiencing ongoing stress and anxiety, leading to a severe mental health crisis. Through regular one-on-one meetings and mood tracking, our HR team recognized the urgent need for tailored support.

To address this, we expanded our Workation Program into two distinct initiatives:

  • Exotic workation – Designed for our global team, continuing the tradition of immersive, well-being-focused workations.
  • Special retreat for our Ukrainian team – A dedicated mental health and well-being initiative, crafted to support experts facing extreme stress, uncertainty, and the inability to travel abroad due to military service requirements.

Guided by our value of “Focus on Talent,” our primary aim was to provide comprehensive mental health and well-being support to Ukrainian experts affected by the war. We divided this aim into five sub-aims:

  • Mental health sabbatical: Encourage taking time off for the Retreat program to address burnout.
  • Mental health support: Provide a safe space for participants to work on anxiety through psychological sessions and stress-relief activities.
  • Physical well-being: Offer a break from daily life in a war-torn environment with activities like yoga, meditation, hippotherapy, and relaxation exercises to alleviate stress and anxiety.
  • Emotional healing: Create an environment where participants can share experiences, find solace in community, and begin emotional recovery.
  • Community and team building: Strengthen social bonds among remote teammates, fostering a sense of community and mutual support, crucial for overcoming feelings of isolation and loss.

The project was completed after a two-month run. The main goal of the Retreat Program was to enhance team morale, and the results speak for themselves:

  • 72% of participants reported a 100% improvement in morale during the retreat.
  • 24% of participants noted a 50% improvement in morale.
  • 4% of participants saw no change in morale.

We are thrilled to announce that ALLSTARSIT has been named a finalist in the Employee Experience category at Ragan’s Employee Communications Awards!
